MSR Hyperflow Water Filter

The MSR Hyperflow Filter weighs in at 9.5 oz. It has a fast flow, filling 3 liters per minute. The end of the intake hose has a prefilter which causes the intake hose to float on the surface of the water. The only drawback to the filter is that you have to kneel or squat to use it, and if the filter reaches the end of iits life you should carry a spare filter cartridge. It can be backflushed in he field, and has a handy carrying case. Of pump filters I like this one best, because its light. This filter combined with Aqua Mira as a backup is a great combination. The filter costs about $120, and a replacement cartridge is $40.
