Day 24 on the Camino Frances, Villafranca to Vega de Valcarce

This day started early as I crossed the bridge over the river Burbia. The first task of the day, after trying to get warm, was to find coffee and breakfast.

I walked for most of the day with a fun family from Mexico. We had breakfast together, but they were faster than I was so we parted. I got to Vega de Valcarce (15.2 km) as the skies threatened, found my hotel, checked in, and just then the skies opened up! It rained buckets for a bit, and I took a nap at Pension Hernandez (below) to rain on the roof.
